So my first few entries have all been "un-tooned" characters. It's something I've always wanted to try but couldn't 'cause I didn't have 'Shop at that time. (I know, lame.) What really drew me to this "technique" is how...weird, or...interesting it is to see otherwise flat, 2D, or artificial-looking characters and faces look like they've come to life, like they're among us.
It started when I saw Pixeloo's un-tooned Jessica Rabbit
[link] I got inspired and vowed to do it on my own favorite characters as well. Of course, by no stretch of the imagination do I liken myself to Pixeloo in terms of ability and artistic wowsomeness. I'm a beginner, you see, and the first few pics here on DA I've put up are things I'll hopefully look back on sometime in the future with mocking eyes and say, "Ang pangit!" Yes, hopefully I'll get better with every new "piece" I make. And that will only be possible with practice, patience, and persistence.
I think I'll also be posting some of my traditional art on here if I've time...and if only I had a scanner.

Anyway, so much for a first entry. Yay DA!
